Uninsured Motorist (UM) and Underinsured Motorist (UIM) motorist insurance protects the victim in a motor vehicle accident when the at-fault driver does not carry enough insurance or any insurance at all. In Nevada, the minimum liability coverage insurance required is 15/30/10, which means $15,000 bodily injury person, $30,000 bodily injury per accident, and $10,000 property damage. Rarely is the statutory minimum coverage enough to cover a serious accident or injury.
UM/UIM insurance is the only way to protect yourself in the event of an accident or injury caused by someone who only has the statutory minimum liability coverage or has not insurance at all. MGA Law has significant experience with UM/UIM insurance claims and can assist you with a UM/UIM claim if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having been the victim in an accident where there is insufficient liability insurance coverage.
