Advancing Social Justice Through Personal Injury Law Scholarship

At Maier Gutierrez & Associates we believe in addressing the intersection of personal injury law and social justice to ensure equal access to legal representation and compensation for all individuals.

Through this scholarship, we invite students to explore the disparities in access to legal resources among different socioeconomic groups or marginalized communities and propose strategies for fostering equal justice. The Advancing Social Justice Through Personal Injury Law Scholarship offers a $1,000 award to the selected applicant.

Applicants are required to submit an original essay of 750 words in length. The essay should delve into the disparities in access to legal representation and compensation for personal injuries among various socio-economic groups or marginalized communities. Additionally, applicants should propose strategies for addressing these disparities and promoting equal justice for all individuals.

To apply and be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria and submit the following documents via email to: [email protected]

  • Be currently enrolled or about to enroll in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, or community college in the United States. High school students may apply if they have received acceptance to an accredited college or university.
  • University or college’s acceptance letter.
  • Possess a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Resume including contact details.
  • Academic transcript reflecting cumulative GPA
  • Original essay on the specified topic.

The deadline for applying and all required documents is February 10, 2025.
