Alexis Wendl is an associate attorney at Maier Gutierrez & Associates. Her practice focuses on business litigation and personal injury in federal and state courts. She enjoys the challenges associated with her chosen practice areas and helping her clients through difficult times. Alexis is no stranger to the team at MGA; she also served as a law clerk at Maier Gutierrez & Associates during the summer of 2018.
She graduated from UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law, where she was the executive editor on the Nevada Law Journal (Law Review). She also competed nationally on behalf of the Society of Advocates Moot Court Team during her time at UNLV. Alexis graduated from law school with high honors, including a dean’s award and three coveted CALI awards for the highest grade in those courses.
Alexis spent the summer of 2017 as an extern for the Honorable Judge Escobar of the Eighth District Judicial Court in Nevada. Most recently, she clerked from 2019-2020 for the Honorable Judge Tao at the Nevada Court of Appeals.
When not at work, Alexis enjoys reading presidential biographies and attending cycling classes. An avid NHL fan, she spent time learning the rules of hockey to understand the sport better. Alexis enjoys spending time getting fresh air, including walks in the great outdoors, hiking, and biking.
